Fire Department responds to reported MVA at Pine Rd & Route 30
On the morning of May 1st at approximately 10:00am members responded for a reported overturned vehicle on Route 30 in Hammonton. Members arrived to find a single vehicle on its roof with the driver having exited the vehicle under his own power. Members secured the scene, and cleared a short time later after the investigation was completed by the Hammonton Police.
HFD responds to MVA on ACE
Members of the Hammonton Fire Department arrived at ACE 23.7 to find a single overturned vehicle. After establishing lighting, and securing the scene HFD units assisted in closing the ACE for a helicopter landing. Members remained on scene until the investigation was complete, just in time to watch the sun come up.
Fire Department responds to Egg Harbor Road business for reported trailer fire
Upon arrival units responding to a local construction company found a trailer with concrete forms and other materials. The contents of the trailer were partially on fire, but thanks to a quick response by responding units the fire was contained to a small portion of the trailer contents. Units cleared after approximately 30 minutes.
HFD responds to gas leak in downtown Hammonton
Shortly after 17:00 hours on April 24, 2007 HFD units responded to a reported gas leak. Upon arrival a work crew was found to have ruptured an underground natural gas line. HFD units secured the scene, evacuated the adjacent residences while awaiting arrival of South Jersey Gas. Units remained on scene for approximately 2 hours until the leak was resolved.
Fire Department responds for Car Fire & MVA
Hammonton Fire Department units responded to a reported fully involved vehicle fire on Route 206 shortly before midnight on April 11, 2007. Upon arrival members found a fully involved car fire which was extinguished shortly after arrival. HFD units remained on scene for a short time to assist with traffic control. Hammonton Fire Department units respond to a reported MVA with wires down on April 17, 2007. Upon arrival units found a electric pole broken with wires down. Units remained on scene for a short time until Atlantic City Electric arrived on scene.
Fire Department responds to Route 206 for MVA
On the afternoon of Friday April 6th HFD units were called to the scene of an MVA at mile marker 4 on Route 206 in Hammonton. Arriving units found a single vehicle into the wooded area along the roadside. After successful extrication two subjects were airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. Units remained on scene for a short time until the roadway was cleared and the wreckage was removed.
